What do the bill and payment statuses mean?

When you're paying bills in Marmalade, you'll see two different status columns. Here's what each one tells you.


Bill status

This tells you where your outstanding bill sits in its lifecycle, and whether you can pay it in the app.

StatusWhat it means
Ready to payYour bill is outstanding. Pay whenever you want, and earn M-Coin.
PendingThis bill was updated in your accounting platform. We're re-verifying it. This usually takes a few minutes.
ProcessingA payment was made on the bill, and will arrive within 1–2 business days.
Can't be paidThis bill doesn't meet our requirements right now and can't be paid through Marmalade.

Payment status

This tells you what happened to a specific payment you made. It shows the outcome of a payment made on your bill.

StatusWhat it means
SuccessYour payment arrived.
ProcessingYour payment is on its way. It should arrive within 1–2 business days.
FailThe payment was either declined by your bank or wasn't delivered to your recipient. We'll email you details with what you can do next.
