What your customers experience after you enable Rewards

Once you enable Marmalade Rewards, your customers move through a simple, low-friction journey. Nothing about how they pay changes — Rewards simply add value on top.

Below is what that journey looks like from your customer’s perspective.

 

1 — Customers are introduced to Rewards
 


Once you enable Rewards in your portal, customers are introduced to Marmalade Rewards in their next monthly statement email.

They’ll see a short introductory banner alongside their M-Coin balance, letting them know:

  • Customers receive M-Coin every time they pay your invoices through Marmalade, across bank transfers, debit, and credit card payments.

  • If they choose to participate, they can sign up to claim their M-Coin and convert it to Qantas or Velocity Points — choosing their airline each time.

  • M-Coin is calculated based on invoice value (1 M-Coin = $1 paid through Marmalade, and 5 M-Coin = 1 Qantas or Velocity Point. Terms apply.)

There’s no further action required from you.

 

2 — Customers sign up to claim M-Coin they've received
 


From your customer’s perspective, nothing changes in how they pay — except that payments now come with rewards.

Marmalade Rewards is optional. If customers choose to participate, they can sign up to claim the M-Coin they’ve received and convert it to Qantas or Velocity Points in the Rewards portal. Customers manage their rewards entirely outside your payment flow, so there’s no impact on how customers pay or how you get paid.

To sign up, customers must:

  1. Connect to a compatible accounting platform (Xero, MYOB, or Quickbooks)

  2. Verify their relationship to the business (KYC) via First AML.

  3. Review and sign the terms and conditions.

 

3 — Customers can convert M-Coin anytime
 


Once signed up, customers can track and convert M-Coin they’re earning in the Rewards portal at any time. They’re never locked into one airline and can choose to convert to either Qantas or Velocity Points every time.

To convert M-Coin, customers simply:

  1. Sign in to the Rewards portal.

  2. Choose Qantas Business Rewards or Virgin Australia Business Flyer.

  3. Convert M-Coin to Qantas or Velocity Points.

Conditions apply

  • To sign up to Marmalade Rewards, customers must use a compatible accounting platform (Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks) and verify their relationship to the business.

  • To convert M-Coin into Qantas or Velocity Points, customers must be a Qantas Business Rewards or Virgin Australia Business Flyer member. Customers who are not members can join either program through the Rewards portal. The Qantas Business Rewards joining fee will be waived for Marmalade customers.
