What your customers experience after you enable Rewards

Once you enable Marmalade Rewards, your customers move through a simple, low-friction journey. Nothing about how they pay changes — Rewards simply add value on top.

Below is what that journey looks like from your customer’s perspective.

 

1 — Customers are introduced to Rewards

When you enable Rewards in your portal, customers are introduced to them in their next monthly statement. 

  • They’ll see a temporary introductory banner, along with their M-Coin balance.

  • This banner introduces customers to the Rewards program and lets them know they can now earn M-Coin when paying your invoices.

  • Their M-Coin balance includes any M-Coin earned since the start of the statement period.

There’s no further action required from you.

 

2 — Customers automatically earn M-Coin

Once Rewards enabled:

  • Customers start to earn M-Coin automatically when they pay your Marmalade-issued bank account or card payment links.

  • M-Coin accrues based on invoice value, where 1 M-Coin = $1 paid through Marmalade.

  • Rewards apply across all payment methods, including bank transfer and credit card.

From your customer’s perspective, nothing changes in how they pay — except that payments now earn rewards.

 

3 — Customers convert M-Coin when they’re ready

Marmalade Rewards is optional for your customers. If they choose to participate, conversion happens in a separate Rewards portal, so it never interferes with how they pay or when you get paid.

To get started, customers sign in by:

  1. Accepting the Terms of Use

  2. Connecting their Accounting Platform

  3. Completing KYC via our First AML

Once set up, customers can convert M-Coin any time:

  1. Sign into the Rewards portal

  2. Choose their preferred airline points at point of conversion. 

  3. Convert M-Coin to Qantas or Velocity Points.

The Rewards Portal has been built in partnership with Qantas and Virgin, providing a secure and reliable experience for your customers.
