Reconciling Marmalade Payments in Xero

When you make a payment through Marmalade, you'll need to reconcile it in Xero to keep your accounts accurate. Here's how to do it.

Before you Start

Make sure the payment has been processed in Marmalade and has appeared in your Xero bank feed.

Steps to reconcile

  1. Log in to your Xero account
  2. From the home page, click Reconcile items under the bank account used for your payment method
  3. Find the line item that matches the gross payment amount and click Find & Match
  4. Select the matching transaction you need to reconcile
  5. In the Adjustments section, select the bank fee option and enter the following details:

    a) Contact: Marmalade
    b) Description: Processing fees
    c) Account: 404 Bank Fees
    d)Tax rate: GST on Expenses
    e) Amount: The fee amount charged by Marmalade

  6. Click Reconcile

That's it — your Marmalade payment is now reconciled in Xero.
