Before an invoice can be systematically assessed for cash-in, please add your Marmalade banking details to your standard Branding Theme in Xero.
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
Log in to your Xero account.
Select Settings in the upper, left corner.
Step 2: Click on Invoice Settings
Under Sales, select Invoice Settings.
Step 3: Edit Your Standard Branding Theme
Find your Standard Branding Theme.
Select the Options drop-down to the right.
Choose Edit.
Step 4: Add Your Marmalade Payment Details
To receive payments through Marmalade, you must include your Marmalade payment details in the Terms & Payment Advice field.
Locate the Terms & Payment Advice field.
Find the latest email in your inbox from Marmalade with the subject line: “Congratulations, you’re now backed by Marmalade.” This includes your unique payment reference.
Paste the exact text from the email into the Terms & Payment Advice field.
Confirm that the pasted text includes your new Marmalade banking details.
Step 5: Unselect Other Payment Services
As you will be accepting payments through Marmalade, you need to remove any other payment services linked to the template.
Scroll to the Payment Services section.
Unselect any existing services from the drop-downs.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Once your updates are complete, select Save.
Your standard Branding Theme now includes your Marmalade payment details in Xero.
