Marmalade Payments FAQs

.The Payments tab on your Marmalade Dashboard shows all payments that have been received into your Marmalade account. Click on 'View Details' to see which invoice(s) the payment was allocated to.

When can I see the payments received by Marmalade?

Real-time. Once a payment has been received from your Customers, you will be able to see this in the Payments tab.

How long does it take for a payment to be returned to my account?

In most cases, once a payment is reconciled, the funds will be transferred to you in real-time via Osko, ensuring no delays.

Some payments can be automatically reconciled if the correct references have been provided. If Marmalade can't reconcile a particular payment the system will show this as "Unmatched", and we will require a remittance or other details sent to emails below;

  1. PDF Remittance - accounts@withmarmalade.com
  2. Non PDF confirmation of allocation - support@withmarmalade.com

Why does my payment not say 'Paid out to your account' even though it's been matched?

Sometimes, payments are matched to invoices that are cashed-in, and owed to Marmalade by your Customer. In these cases, the money isn't paid out to your account.

Why does Marmalade say that my payment was reallocated to settle an outstanding balance?

Refer to Why do I have an Outstanding Balance owing to Marmalade?

What happens if Marmalade has only partially matched my payments?

When Marmalade has partially matched a payment, the status of the payment will be “Matched” rather than “Paid Out” next to the payment. A Marmalade payment won’t reflect that it has been paid out to your account until the entire payment amount has been matched. However, if we’ve been able to complete a partial match and the funds are payable to you, we will pay those funds out in the meantime. To see the details of what has/hasn’t been paid out, click on the payment, and in the drawbar on the right-hand side, you’ll see a small clock icon with the details of the amount that has been partially matched. The invoices the payment was matched to will be detailed below, and providing they were not cashed-in or used to repay a cashed-in invoice, these will have been paid out to your account.

Why does a payment show 'additional payments'?

In addition to the payment received, Marmalade has previously received payments for that particular invoice.

What does the tick next to my invoice mean?

Payment has been allocated to an invoice(s) and paid to your account.

My Customer has asked for a SWIFT code. Do you accept international transfers?

At this stage, Marmalade does not accept overseas payments, and does not have a SWIFT code to provide to your customers. If your customer makes payments from overseas, they will need to pay these invoices directly to your bank account.
