As outlined in Your Marmalade Status, adopting Marmalade requires your payments to be processed through Marmalade. A service which is provided to you free of charge.
Understand the below to seamlessly transition your payments to Marmalade:

Customer Communication:
When starting with Marmalade it’s important to let them know that you’re updating your payment details.
We aim to support this by notifying your customers of Marmalade when you issue your first invoice with Marmalade’s payment details to them. For more on this, see our Customer Communications article.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Marmalade currently accepts the following payment methods:
- Bank Transfer: Using a virtual bank account created in your business' name
- Credit Card Payments: With credit card fees able to be on-charged
Bank Transfers:
The Virtual Bank Account:
When you sign-up for the Payments on Demand service, Marmalade will create a virtual bank account (VBA) in your business' name, with funds deposited into this account held on trust for you.
Complete Visibility:
As soon as a payment is received into your VBA this will be visible on the Payments page of the Marmalade dashboard, ensuring complete transparency over your customer payments.
Automated Reconciliation:
When a payment is received by Marmalade, generally we will automatically reconcile the payment to your invoices in your accounting software speeding up the reconciliation process.
Marmalade aims to reconcile all of your invoice payments, if we are unable to automatically reconcile a payment please provide us with the information necessary to allocate the payment to the relevant invoice(s) using the details below:

Real-time Payments:
Reconciled payments are generally paid out using the OSKO payments system, ensuring that funds are deposited into your account within minutes.

Credit Card Payments:
Marmalade currently accepts both Visa and Mastercard payments.
Marmalade incurs a 1.7% + 30c fee when processing a card payment which we require to be paid when this payment method is selected.
By default the credit card fee is on-charged to your customer, ensuring that you're not charged for payments made through Marmalade. If you'd like to absorb this cost on behalf of your customer please let us know at support@withmarmalade.com
