Once you've created an account, we'll need to verify you and your business' data to ensure we are in a position to support you as a customer. This will require completing the following steps:
- Connect your banking data
- Verify your identity
- Sign the supplier agreement
- Update invoice template
1. Connect your Banking Data
In order to verify the information in your accounting platform, we require your bank account to be connected to Marmalade. We take the the security of your data very seriously, so it's important to note:
- The connection between Marmalade and your bank accounts is secured by Yodlee (click here for more information)
- Your personal info is not sold to anyone
- The information obtain is read-only (i.e can't make any changes or move money in your account)
To connect your bank account follow the steps below:
- Choose your financial institution
- Enter the login details for your online banking
- Select the appropriate account
Note: it's important that you connect the same bank account as you did in Step 3 of Creating an Account.
2. Verify your Identity
As Marmalade is a financial services company, we need to ensure we operate in accordance with regulations set by AUSTRAC, and this includes verifying the beneficial owners of the businesses looking to use our services.
For this process, you will be contacted by our compliance partner First AML, who will request the documents required to complete the verification process.
The documents required will be 2 forms of ID and a live-ness check for the following individuals:
- Any shareholders that have more than a 25% ownership in the company
- Trust Deeds for any shares that are not beneficially held
- Any trustees or appointers listed on the trust deed
All documents will be requested via a secure link to ensure they remain security (click here for more information details on First AML's security).
3. Sign the Supplier Agreement
As part of the onboarding process, we will also provide you with a copy of the Supplier Agreement. This agreement underpins our Payments on Demand service, and needs to be reviewed and signed by a Director/CEO or other duly authorised person at your company. 4. Update your Invoice & Email template
The final step of onboarding is adding the Marmalade details to your invoices and emails.
