Introducing Marmalade Rewards

Marmalade Rewards is a rewards program that gives you the option to incentivise customers to pay your invoices. It fits seamlessly into your existing workflow, without changing the way they pay you.

With this program, every time customers pay your invoices through Marmalade, they are rewarded with M-Coin, which can be claimed and converted to Qantas or Velocity Points via the Rewards portal, when it suits them.

The Rewards experience is supported end to end by Marmalade.

 

Eligibility & Program Basics

Which of my customers are eligible for rewards?
Customers must be invoiced with a valid ABN to be eligible for Rewards. Customers who are public companies or government entities are automatically excluded and will not receive the offer.

Eligible customers paying your invoices through Marmalade will be rewarded with M-Coin on those payments. 


Conditions apply. To claim M-Coin and convert it into rewards, customers must use a compatible accounting platform (Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks), verify their relationship to the business, and be a Qantas Business Rewards or Virgin Australia Business Flyer member. 

Customers who are not members can join either program through the Rewards portal. The Qantas Business Rewards joining fee will be waived for Marmalade customers.


How much does it cost and what are M-Coin worth?
Marmalade Rewards is free for you to enable and free for your customers to earn. Customers earn 1 M-Coin for every $1 paid, and 5 M-Coin can be converted into 1 Qantas or Velocity Point. Terms apply.

What happens when I enable Marmalade Rewards for my customers?
Your customers will be notified on their next statement that this has been enabled and will start being rewarded with M-Coin on every payment made to you through Marmalade.

Do my customers have to change the way they pay?
No, nothing about how they pay changes.

 

M-Coin & Rewards

Where can my customer view their M-Coin?
Customers can view their M-Coin balance on their monthly statement email or via the Rewards portal.


How do my customers sign up to Marmalade Rewards?
To claim and convert M-Coin to rewards, your customers need to sign up* to Marmalade Rewards. To sign up:

  1. Accept the Terms of Use

  2. Connect their Accounting Platform

  3. Complete KYC via our First AML

*To sign up to Marmalade Rewards, customers must use a compatible accounting platform (Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks) and verify their relationship to the business.


How does my customer convert M-Coin into Qantas or Velocity Points?
Once signed up, customers can convert M-Coin* through their Rewards portal any time:

  1. Sign into the Rewards portal

  2. Choose their preferred Qantas or Velocity Points at point of conversion. 

  3. Convert M-Coin to Qantas or Velocity Points.

*Customers must be a Qantas Business Rewards or Virgin Australia Business Flyer member to convert M-Coin. Customers who are not members can join either program through the Rewards portal. The Qantas Business Rewards joining fee will be waived for Marmalade customers.


Is my customer locked into either Qantas Business Rewards or Virgin Australia Business Flyer after signing up?
No. After signing into their Rewards portal, customers will always be asked to choose between Qantas Business Rewards or Virgin Australia Business Flyer every time they convert M-Coin.


Is there a limit on how much M-Coin my customers are rewarded with?
No, currently, your customers are rewarded with an unlimited amount of M-Coin as part of Marmalade Rewards. 


Does M-Coin expire?
There’s currently no expiry on M-Coin. Once your customers claim it, they can convert it at any time in the Rewards portal.

What’s in it for me if I enable Marmalade Rewards?
Marmalade Rewards gives you the option to incentivise customers to pay your invoices — at no cost to you. By offering Rewards, you can reward existing customers, attract new ones, encourage faster invoice payments, and differentiate your business, without changing how you invoice or how customers pay you.


Can I earn M-Coin as a Marmalade customer?
Currently, M-Coin is only available to your customers. The ability for you to earn M-Coin will become available in the product during 2026.
